Roundabouts
Rainbow Roundabouts
Rainbows have fun badges called 'Roundabouts'. For each Roundabout they choose four fun activities to do as a unit.
The activities are based on the Rainbow Jigsaw parts of Look, Learn, Laugh and Love. |

There are different Roundabouts to choose from, like Roundabout Rainbows, Roundabout the World and Roundabout festivals.
These are the activities that we have done so far for Look, Learn, Laugh and Love.

LOOK
Outdoors - we made a leaf shape then went outdoors to see how many tiny things we could find to stick to the leaf.
Hide a friend - this was a fun game that involved hiding one Rainbow under a blanket and the others guessing who was hidden
Bugs - we put a carpet mat outside and the following week we looked at how many insects had made a home underneath it
Torch treasure hunt - we turned the lights out and went to hunt for shiny stars with our torches |

LEARN
Dangers in the home - we had to find dangers on a picture and then we talked about how to keep safe at home
Panda meeting - we had a meeting all about pandas. We came dressed in black and white, learned about pandas and make a face mask
Play safe - we went to the local swing park and looked at how safe or unsafe it was.
Road safety - we went on a penny hike and learnt about road safety on the way. It was good fun! |

LAUGH
Bubbles - we each had a pot of bubble mixture and we went outside to see who could make the largest bubbles. We also played bubble tag.
Foot painting - we painted our feet with paint and then walked over a big sheet of paper to make a huge pattern of footprints
Springtime jelly garden - we made a garden with green jelly for grass and then used sweets for worms and flowers
Flower food - this was a fun game to play. You had to run to a flower and if you picked the wrong one then you were out. |

LOVE
Paper chain - we each made paper chains and wrote the names of people or things we love on each chain.
Fingerprints patterns - we used our fingerprints to make an Easter card. We turned our fingerprints into little cute chicks
Perfect poppies - we made our own poppies for Remembrance day and we wrote a prayer about stopping wars and having peace in the world
Birds in winter - this was a fun game about birds moving to warmer countries in the winter. |
