Jigsaw Our Jigsaw As well as the Roundabout jigsaw, we wanted to make our own. We made it out of red shiny card and made letters out of gold card. We use the jigsaw each term and plan activities for each letter.

	J is for... Jigsaw - we made our unit jigsaw and then we each made a jigsaw to take home and play with Jailhouse rock - we made up a hand-jive dance to Jailhouse rock Jump! - we had a sponsored bounce to raise money for the Tsunami appeal Jewellery - we made our own necklaces, earrings and bracelets Jam tarts - we made out own jam tarts. We measured all the ingredients and made the pastry. We cut out circles, filled them with jam and then Sunshine cooked them in the over. They were yummy! Journey - we looked at different types of travel and we loved it when we pretended to be aeroplanes! Joining in - we did lots of activities to help us think about helping new Rainbows to join in when they first start with us
	I is for... Ice cream - we made ice cream collages and then ate some yummy ice cream! Inside out - we did inside things outside. Ireland - we learned about Rainbows in Ireland Itsy bitsy - we made up a dance to Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini
	G is for... Greece - we learnt about Rainbows in Greece Grease Lightning - we made up a dance to Grease Lightning Ghosts - we made ghosts for Halloween Gloop - we made gloop and had lots of fun playing with it. We got very messy! Games - we had our own olympic games and gained the WAGGGS Olympia badge Gold - we had a Pot of Gold stall at our Church Christmas fete.
	S is for... Snowflakes - we made a collage showing snowflakes falling outside a window and added a poem called 'five snowflakes came out to play' South Africa - we learnt about Rainbows in South Africa Slosh - we leanrt how to do the slosh but it was very hard and it we kept getting mixed up -but we did it in the end! Scooby Doo - we had a Scooby Doo party. We all came dressed up as characters from Scooby Doo and had lots of fun! Sea - we made a giant collage of 'Under the sea' and put it up in the church hall Sand - we filled a paddling pool with sand and had lots of fun playing in it. Then we used the sand to make a collage of a desert island St Andrews Day - we wore something tartan, learnt some Scottish dances and had irn bru and shortbread Salt dough - we made our own salt dough and made models out of it
	A is for... Adventure play - we went to the local playground and had lots of fun on the swings and climbing frame Australia - we learnt about Rainbows in Australia Agadoo - we learnt how to dance to Agadoo Art - we had lots of fun doing different kinds of art Autumn - we collected leaves and made a collage of a hedgehog America - we learnt about Rainbows in America and made our own daisies Apples - we made chocolate apples. We melted chocolate and dipped the apples in it and then covered them with sprinkles. Advent - we made our own advent calendar. It was a bell that had sweets for each day.
	W is for... Water - we had a beach party. We came in beach wear and played lots of beach and water games. We even had cocktails! Walkabout trail - we went on a trail and had to find answers to questions such as when did the post office shut?, how many steps at the Doctors surgery? World badge - we learnt all about the World Badge and all its different parts Winter - we did activities about winter Watch it! - we made our own video about Rainbows for the Watch It! badge Walk - we went for a sponsored walk and gained our 'Walks for the World' badge
